
Navratri Kalash Sthapana Puja And Havan
1. Navratri is a festival spanning nine nights and ten days. There are four seasonal Navratri, with Sharada Navratri being the most observed in honor of the Devi. It falls in the month of Ashwin according to the Hindu calendar.
2. Each day of the nine nights holds special significance. The nine forms of the Devi are worshipped, starting with Shailputri, followed by Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri, and ending with Siddhidatri.
3. Kalash Sthapana is done on the first day of Navratri when Shailputri is worshipped, and Havan is performed on the ninth day.
4. A well-trained priest is called to perform the ritual according to Vedic standards. Devi Durga is invoked, and mantras are chanted, followed by the chanting of Devi Mahatmaya.
5. Kalasha is believed to contain the elixir of life and is viewed as a symbol of abundance, immortality, and wisdom.
