Saraswati Puja
1. Lord Brahma is the creator of the universe, and Goddess Saraswati is his consort and the embodiment of his energy. She is the giver of knowledge, sound, music, art, and other forms of wisdom.
2. Goddess Saraswati is often depicted wearing a crescent moon on her brow, riding a swan, or seated on a lotus flower. She is also known as ‘Vageshwari’ (Goddess of speech) and ‘Veenapani’ (the one who holds a Veena).
3. This puja is typically performed by a priest who determines the appropriate date or muhurta based on the astrological charts. Basant Panchami, the birthday of Goddess Saraswati, is considered the most auspicious date for this puja and is also known as ‘Abhujh Muhurat’.
4. Worshipping Goddess Saraswati during the bright fortnight of the Magha month holds great significance.
